Make a Difference Through Strategic Project Management
The Compliance & Parking Services Branch is seeking a highly motivated and organised Special Project Officer to play a key role in driving positive change for our branch and the community.
This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on critical projects and initiatives such as the Local Law Review, Domestic Animal Management Plan Review and other projects, ensuring their successful completion and contribution to our overall organisational, branch and community goals.
What you will be responsible for:
- Manage and lead multiple high-impact projects from conception to completion, fostering effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, regularly monitoring progress and reporting on key metrics.
- Keep project documentation up to date, including relevant issues logs, policies, processing manuals, and activity reports.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff across the branch and collaborate effectively with internal/external partners.
- Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives and identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Who you are:
- A highly motivated and results-oriented professional with experience in projects.
- Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, ensuring projects stay on track.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- A strong understanding of project documentation principles and adept at keeping records accurate and organised.
- Experience fostering collaboration and building strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience in a Compliance and/or Parking environment (or a similar regulatory field) is a strong asset.
- A keen understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and other statutory requirements is preferred.
