Do you have strong social research and analysis skills? Can you turn research into action? Do you have a comprehensive understanding of policy development and government processes? Yarra City Council is looking for a self-motivated person for the position of Senior Policy Advisor to work within the Social Strategy Unit.
In addition to driving the development, implementation and evaluation of a diverse range of strategic portfolio areas, you will oversee the delivery of multiple strategies. The work of the Branch is strongly influenced by evidence-based and social determinants approaches and focuses on building connections, sustaining stakeholder relationships and integrating best-practice responses.
To apply, you’ll need tertiary qualifications in the social sciences, public policy or a related field and a proven track record in applied research, project management and evaluation in a local government or comparable context.
