Permanent Full Time 

Band 7 $98,702 + super + RDO

Yarra City Council is seeking a passionate and skilled Diversity and Inclusion specialist to join their People and Culture team.

The Senior Advisor Workforce Diversity and Inclusion will work collaboratively across Council to lead the development and successful implementation of various diversity and inclusion initiatives at Yarra City Council.  

With a focus on equity of access, inclusive practice and safety you will work closely with the Organisational Culture, Capability and Diversity team and wider People and Culture division to develop and implement a range of policies, programs and process improvements that positively transform organisational culture; support capability uplift across all employee levels; and strengthen Council’s ability to serve our community by building a dynamic, agile and diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve. 

You are a passionate advocate for social justice, equality and inclusion, skilled in policy and strategy development, and experienced in change and project management – with specialist knowledge across a range of diversity and inclusion domains. You also bring your excellent communication and collaboration skills to the role, have a demonstrated ability to engage with various stakeholders to influence change, and have a flexible working style that can deliver both strategic and practical outcomes.
