Youth Support Worker

Permanent Full-Time- 38 hours per week (flexible) 

Band 5 - Starting at $78,448.84 + Super + RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

Based in Fitzroy, Yarra City Council’s Youth Services currently has a permanent opportunity for a person with relevant youth work experience and qualifications to join the Yarra Youth Services team.

The key responsibilities include:

• Provide generalist case management and brief intervention support to young people aged 12-25 years who live, work, study or have a connection to the City of Yarra
• Advocate on behalf of and with young people to ensure access to services and action on relevant issues
• Establish and maintain professional, effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders including the Youth and Middle Years Unit, schools, and community organisations to enhance service coordination for young people
• Provide young people and their families with accessible, up-to-date information, advice and referrals to other local internal and/or external services
• Participate as a member of the Youth Services team in the planning and delivery of programs and activities that address identified needs of young people
• Ensure the accurate and timely collection and storage of client data including case notes in line with privacy requirements
