About the Role
Are you an energetic, forward-thinking youth work leader ready to make a genuine mark in the community?
As the Team Leader – Richmond Youth Hub, you will take the reins of a vibrant community space, driving day-to-day operations and leading an impassioned team of youth engagement officers. You will oversee the delivery of high-impact, evidence-based programs for young people aged 8–25, working directly with the North Richmond community to co-design activities that inspire, connect, and elevate local youth.
No two days here look the same. You will balance on-the-ground mentorship with strategic stakeholder relationships across schools, local service partners, and state agencies. If you thrive on momentum, solve problems on your feet, and want to champion meaningful outcomes within a progressive local government, this is your next step.
What We’re Looking For

A degree in Youth Work, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, paired with proven operational experience (or substantial sector leadership experience).

Natural leadership instincts, with the ability to coach, inspire, and manage a high-performing frontline team.

Demonstrated expertise in youth participation, community development, and navigating complex community environments safely and effectively.

Exceptional communication skills with a flair for building genuine trust across community groups, precinct partners, and young people alike.

Sound administrative and budgetary competence to keep hub operations running smoothly and efficiently.
