About the Role
Yarra City Council is seeking a Service Design and Improvement Analyst to support the review, improvement and future design of service and processes. Working within the Business Transformation Branch, you will undertake service review and analysis activities that help Council deliver more efficient, customer-centred and financially sustainable services.
This role will analyse and document end-to-end service delivery processes, identify service improvement opportunities, benchmark performance, and contribute to the development of practical recommendations that improve efficiency and customer experience. You will also support implementation activities arising from the review, including action planning, stakeholder engagement, progress monitoring and transition into business-as-usual operations.
You will work closely with the Service Planning and Review team, internal stakeholders and project governance groups to help deliver a significant business improvement initiative. This role offers exposure to service planning, business transformation, process redesign and organisational improvement within a progressive local government environment.

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a candidate with experience in service review, business analysis, process improvement or service design who can help deliver outcomes across the Business Transformation Branch.
You will bring:
- Experience analysing and improving service delivery processes, including documenting current-state and future-state workflows.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret service performance data and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and facilitating discussions across multiple teams.
- Strong written communication skills, including preparing reports, process documentation, presentations and briefing materials.
- Knowledge of business systems, digital tools and process improvement methodologies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Analysis, Data Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Process Improvement, Service Design or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
