Band 5 – $80,410.06 + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full-time 38 hours per week only)

About the Role
Yarra City Council is seeking a Business Concierge Officer to be the first point of contact for local businesses connecting with Council. The role plays a critical role in providing clear process, information and guidance for businesses while encouraging innovation, investment and collaboration within the business community.
Working in collaboration with the Business Engagement Lead, the Business Concierge Officer will deliver a smooth, high-quality permit application process and provide customer service to members of the public. This role aims to assist in strengthening relationships and processes between regulatory teams and the Economic Development team.
You will coordinate and facilitate businesses to engage in pre-application meetings and premises walk throughs where required. Alongside the day-to-day service the officer will be supporting a service review and improvement project within Council.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple departments of local government broadening understanding of the complexities of supporting a diverse business community within a progressive local government environment.

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for a candidate with experience in customer service, stakeholder engagement, administrative skills and Local Government knowledge to help support the successful delivery of the Business Concierge service.
You will bring:
- Well-developed administrative skills and knowledge gained from demonstrated work experience, including well-developed time management and organisational skills.
- Experience working within a high volume, multi-skilled customer service/administrative support team, preferably within a local government setting.
- Well-developed skills in the development, use and application of a variety of information technology systems such as Microsoft Office suite of applications (including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment, including the preparedness to support and assist colleagues.
- Resilience & Problem-Solving Skills – aptitude for facilitating a favourable result with demanding customers and/or in difficult situations and thinking laterally to resolve complex problems.
