About the Role

Lead the future of digital innovation and customer experience at Yarra City Council. As Chief Information Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organisation's customer-first digital transformation, leveraging technology, data and innovation to enhance service delivery, improve organisational performance and support better outcomes for our community. 

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a contemporary and strategic technology leader who can drive organisation-wide transformation and position Yarra City Council for the future. Reporting into the General Manager – Corporate Services, you will be a trusted adviser to the Executive Leadership Team, combining strategic vision with operational excellence to deliver technology solutions that create meaningful value for our community.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a contemporary digital leader who combines strategic thinking, technology expertise and people leadership with a strong commitment to public value.

You have successfully led digital transformation in a complex organisation and understand the opportunities and challenges associated with technology-enabled change. You bring strong political awareness, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decisions at executive and governance levels.

You thrive in environments that require innovation, collaboration and strategic thinking, and you are motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future of Yarra through technology, data and customer-focused transformation.
