Band 4 - starting at $70,961.52 + super + RDO (RDO applicable to 38 hours per week only)
Join Our Team as a Records Officer in the Customer Experience Branch!
Are you a self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for records and information management? The Customer Experience Branch is seeking a dedicated Records Officer to join our Corporate Records Unit, based at the Collingwood Town Hall.
As part of a dynamic and supportive team, you will play a key role in the daily operations of Council departments and the broader Yarra community, ensuring effective management of records and information.
About the Role:
- Maintain and manage physical and digital records.
- Provide internal support for staff using Content Manager (EDRMS).
- Assist with the daily processing of incoming mail, which includes collection and drop-off (driver's licence required)
- Respond to internal requests via our customer request management system.
- Participate in records and information management projects.
- Support archiving activities and ensure compliance with PROV standards for records retention and disposal.
- Assist with the secure and compliant destruction of records in accordance with approved EDRMS disposal schedules.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and continuously improving team environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Has a solid understanding of records, information, and privacy principles.
- Demonstrates strong computer and information literacy skills.
- Is customer-focused, responsive, and detail-oriented.
- Has experience in a similar role or is currently studying towards formal Records and Information Management (RIM) qualifications (highly regarded).
- Has knowledge of PROV guidelines and experience with records disposal and archiving processes within an EDRMS environment.
