Permanent - Full Time

Band 7 - starting at $105,898.17+ super + RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

As part of our Digital and Technology Services Branch, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of workplace technology at Yarra.

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for technology and service excellence? We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Workplace Support Engineer to oversee the delivery of high-quality service desk, desktop support, devices, mobile device management, and audiovisual (AV) support services. This role ensures that all workplace technology services are efficient, reliable, and aligned with the organisation's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support for service desk, desktop support, devices, mobile device management, and AV equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Workplace Services team.
  • Monitor and analyse service desk performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure services are aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist in developing and managing the budget for Workplace Services.
  • Develop procedures related to workplace technology services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in providing advanced support for IT teams, particularly in service desk, desktop support, devices, mobile device management, and AV support.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT service management, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, and vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft).
  • Strong technical support skills, including remote troubleshooting and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
