The Festivals & Events Unit is seeking a Festivals and Events Lead, ideally suited to a candidate with experience in creative and/or cultural programming, event logistics and project management. Under the direction of and in consultation with the Coordinator Festivals and Events, the Festivals and Events Lead is responsible for day-to-day management of deliverables for major outdoor festivals and events funded supported or produced by Council, including stakeholder management, administration, advice, support and marketing. Additionally, this position delivers Council led projects and activations that form part of Council’s annual program of outdoor events.
The Festivals and Events Unit leads Council’s festival and events service and is designed to enable Council Produced, Community Led and Commercial events across Yarra, including event compliance and logistics support.
The Festivals and Events Lead will be part of the Libraries, Arts and Events Branch in the Community Strengthening Division.
