As Strategic Communications Partner you will play an important role in designing, delivering and evaluating communications strategies that help us engage our key audiences, enhance our reputation and support our organisational objectives. Working on high profile and complex projects, your attention to detail, project management and persuasive story-telling will help promote Council’s services, promote behaviour change campaigns and community engagement opportunities. We are seeking a highly skilled strategic communications partner to lead a small team of creative and energetic communication professionals.
Working closely with the leadership team you will oversee the forward planning agenda for the strategic communications portfolio, developing compelling messaging and tailoring this across our digital and print channels.
We are looking for a people leader whose strategic thinking can influence stakeholders and build strong working relationships across the organisation. Working in an issues rich environment, this role will suit someone with issues managements skills and experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communications strategies (internal and external audiences)
- Produce high quality content for publications, EDM’s, social media, website, speeches and other collateral
- Metrics and analysis- measure the effectiveness of communications efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Identify and mitigate stakeholder and project issues through communication planning
You will be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Creative storyteller with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
