The Infrastructure, Traffic, and Civil Engineering Branch at Yarra City Council has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Multi-Skilled Operator – (Excavator and Bobcat). You will be joining a team dedicated to providing high quality, efficient, and best value services to the community through the delivery of its core services in road and infrastructure maintenance.
Your success in the role of Multi-Skilled Operator – (Excavator and Bobcat) will be measured by your ability to be an effective team player, making a significant contribution in maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficient work practices while improving the appearance and structural integrity of the Council’s streetscapes, assets, and associated infrastructure.
The position of include, but are not limited to:
- Operate Excavators and Bobcats: Efficiently operate excavators and bobcats for various construction and maintenance tasks.
- Drive Trucks: Operate trucks (HR) to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from sites.
- Excavation: Perform excavation of asphalt and concrete roads, footpaths, and other civil construction tasks.
- Civil Construction Tasks: Assist with general civil construction tasks including asphalt, concrete, bluestone, kerb, and channel work.
