The City of Yarra is seeking a passionate and strategic professional to help advance equity, wellbeing and inclusion across our diverse community. This newly redefined leadership role is an exciting opportunity to shape Council’s approach to healthy ageing, disability inclusion and social connection.

The Lead – Ageing, Disability, Inclusion & Wellbeing plays a key role in delivering on Council’s Ageing Well Policy, Access and Inclusion Policy, and Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025–2029. You’ll work closely with the Coordinator Access and Ageing Well, colleagues across Council and key community stakeholders to support inclusive systems, collaborative partnerships and high-quality programs.

This is a dynamic role with a focus on policy development, strategic coordination, and targeted service improvement – not direct service delivery or case management. It’s ideally suited to someone with strong community sector experience and a systems mindset, capable of influencing internally and externally to create impact.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, sound project and program oversight experience, and a deep understanding of ageing, disability and inclusion-related policy. You’ll also support inclusive community engagement, sector networking, community events, and initiatives that respond to the voices and rights of people with lived experience.

Yarra City Council is a progressive organisation. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive culture, developing our staff, and making a positive difference in people’s lives.

For further information, please see the position description or contact Lauren Krnjacki, Coordinator Access and Ageing Well on 03 9205 5534 or lauren.krnjacki@yarracity.vic.gov.au.
