Temporary part-time 30 hours per week (flexible) – from September 2025 to August 2026
Band 7 - Starting from $105,898.17 (pro- rata) + super
The Senior Active Transport Project Officer designs, develops and manages cycling and walking infrastructure projects delivered by Council and provides input to State Government projects. This position will report to the Principal Strategic Transport Planner. The role requires a level of experience in street design, transport planning, traffic engineering, project management and working with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver projects stated within the Yarra Transport Action Plan, Council Plan and Council Budget
- Assist with the preparation of briefings, letters and reports as required with a high standard of written and oral communication
- Respond to enquiries relating to active transport in Yarra from the public, councillors, colleagues, State Government and others
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage bicycle parking requests and coordinate installation
- Coordinate, attend and support the operation of the Yarra Transport Advisory Committee
