Come and join Yarra City Council’s Governance and Integrity team dedicated to implementing and promoting effective governance practices. As a public purpose organisation, we strive for good governance by promoting transparency, accountability, integrity and inclusivity in decision-making processes. As a Senior Governance Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing expert guidance and support to our staff and elected representatives to ensure we are delivering good governance and complying with the Local Government Act 2020.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Governance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of governance principles, along with practical experience in advising on relevant legislation, policies, code of conduct, privacy, conflict of interest, risk and other governance topics. The Governance Coordinator will work closely with staff to assess their governance challenges, develop tailored strategies for improvement, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful implementation. You will play a key leadership role influencing the organisation and implementing change as part of Council’s improvement to culture, systems and processes.
