About the Role
As a Venues Officer, you will be working in a team in our Community Strengthening Division. The role is responsible for ensuring venues are prepared, safe, welcoming and ready for a wide range of Community and Council-run events.
In this role, you will be:
- Setting up and packing down rooms and event spaces.
- Providing exceptional customer service to venue hirers, contractors and staff.
- Supporting meetings, events and Council functions.
- Using and supporting hirers with audiovisual equipment.
- Maintaining venue cleanliness, security and presentation.
- Monitoring stock and supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and emergency procedures.
- Reporting maintenance, cleaning and safety issues.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in similar roles within the events industry preferred, but all previous customer service experience will be considered.
- Availability to work after hours and weekend work is a must have for this role.
- Basic computer and administration skills required.
- Working with Children's Check or willingness to get one before work commencing.
- Experience with audio visual equipment for live events preferred.
- Driving license preferred.
