Band 7 – Starting from $108,546 + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full-time 38 hours per week only)

About the Role

The Project Manager Buildings position is responsible for the successful planning, management and delivery of Council building capital works projects, including renewals, upgrades and new building projects.

The role delivers a diverse range of projects across Council and community infrastructure, including kindergartens, sporting facilities, leisure centres, town halls, libraries and other public buildings within a complex inner-city environment. These projects often involve operational, stakeholder and community interface, requiring strong coordination and project management throughout the full project lifecycle.

From early concept and design management through to construction delivery and handover, the position is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality that enables and supports the delivery of Council services and outcomes for the community.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented professional with a positive, can-do attitude and proven experience delivering building projects from concept through to construction and handover. You will have excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively consult and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, consultants and community groups. The successful candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, coordinate complex project requirements in a professional and diplomatic manner, and maintain strong attention to detail while keeping focus on broader project outcomes and community expectations.
