 Permanent Full Time 

Band 7 – $ 108,545.62 + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full-time 38 hours per week only)

About the Role

This position provides operational leadership across Yarra Libraries' branch network, supporting a team of library branch managers to deliver high-quality customer service and community-focused programs. The role ensures consistent service delivery, workforce coordination, and continuous improvement across all locations. It fosters a customer-focused culture, supports staff development, and contributes to operational planning and reporting in alignment with Council values and strategic goals. The role also works collaboratively with the Coordinator and other service Leads to ensure integrated service delivery across the library network.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a candidate with library operations and customer experience capabilities to help deliver outcomes in our much loved and dynamic library branches. We are seeking a highly skills library professional to:

  • Provide operational leadership and coordination across library branches, ensuring consistent service standards and customer experience, despite conflicting pressures 

  • Support branch team leaders in workforce planning, rostering and day-to-day service delivery. 

  • Lead initiatives to improve customer service, accessibility and responsiveness across all locations. 

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making and provide advice to senior leadership on issues and trends in relevant areas of library operations.
