Band 5 - $78,448.84 - $90,891.22 + super + RDO (RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

Yarra City Council has an exciting opportunity to join the Leisure Operations team as the Lifeguard Team Leader! The Lifeguard Team Leader role provides crucial water safety education and aquatic supervision to our community. The role is suited to someone who has a strong focus on leadership, mentoring and team culture with professional development opportunities in a strong and supportive team environment.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to drive a constructive culture that develops and leads the Lifeguard Team.
A thorough understanding of the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations is required as well as a high-level understanding of Lifeguard Supervision and deployment plans. Excellent organisational, communication, reporting and problem-solving skills are a must. The ability to lead, mentor, train and develop the Lifeguard team is required to ensure a high level of professionalism across the team.
Essential qualifications and experience required include Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, First Aid Certificate and experience in leading large staff teams in the Aquatics Industry.
