An exciting opportunity exists to join Yarra City Council in the role of Strategic Planner. As part of the Strategic Planning Team, this role will assist in and manage a range of projects that creates a strategic planning framework that reflects the needs of Yarra's growing and evolving city. You will be working as part of a fun and innovative team that is committed to an integrated team approach and working across the organisation.
What you will need to succeed:
- Tertiary qualifications in town planning or a related discipline.
- Experience in strategic planning, issues, trends, policy development and project management and the use of relevant legislation, particularly the Victoria Planning Provisions and local planning schemes
- Ability to think innovatively to achieve good project outcomes
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver high quality outputs within specified timeframes
- Excellent report writing, organisational and communication skills.
