Team Leader Collections and Shared Services (Based at Fitzroy Library)

Permanent Full Time (Flexible) 38 hours

Band 6 - $ 87,105.55 - $ 94,943.91  + super + RDO

Yarra Libraries is an innovative and progressive inner city library service and we are currently seeking an energetic and motivated professional with a strong appreciation of contemporary library practices to lead and support the Library Collections and Shared Services team.

The position is responsible for:

  • Managing the Yarra Libraries collection/resources, developing and managing relevant budgets, suppliers contracts and facilitating or delivering reader development programs.

  • Administration and supporting the Library Management System, courier and other shared services in line with Libraries Victoria Consortium policy, standards and procedure.

  • Leading and continuously improving Technical Services operations including troubleshooting database and online resources.

  • Working alongside the branch Team Leader to manage staff and operations by providing advice, leadership and support.

To be successful in this position you will have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated experience in managing library collections, well developed management / leadership experience and a relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant relevant experience.
