Yarra City Council's Statutory Planning Department is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Town Planner to join their team.
You will have the opportunity to work within a vibrant and diverse work environment through exposure to a variety of development applications and statutory planning matters. The type of work that you would be responsible for would include but not limited to, assessing and managing land use and development applications, providing counter advice to the general public and engage in pre-application meetings, contribute to improving internal processes and providing planning support to internal departments within Council. Additionally you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, manage your time to achieve critical deadlines, and specific knowledge of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
Additionally, opportunities will be available for professional growth and development to support career progression. Entry level planners with limited experience will be considered and graduates are welcome to apply.
