Permanent - Full Time 

Band 5 - starting at $78,448.84 + super + RDO (RDO applicable to 38 hours per week only)

The Strategic Communications and Marketing team is responsible for the effective functioning of Council's communications channels, including social media, e-newsletters, website, print, radio and outdoor advertising. We provide strategic oversight, recommendations and tactical communications support across the organisation as we strive to deliver timely, engaging and impactful communications that bring Council's services and programs to life.

In this role, you will plan, implement and evaluate impactful cross-platform marketing and communications campaigns, with a focus on digital marketing and communications channels. This includes tasks like:

  • End-to-end marketing and communications campaign management
  • Social media content creation
  • Social media monitoring and community moderation
  • Writing and optimising Council's e-newsletters
  • Developing, updating and editing website content, including news articles and event listings

This role is suited to an early-career digital marketing and communications professional with an understanding of current digital marketing trends and best practice, strong creative and lateral thinking skills, writing and storytelling skills, problem solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.

You will work on a broad range of exciting projects promoting Council's diverse programs - from festivals and events, waste and recycling programs, sustainability and climate action initiatives, community services and much more.
