Health and Fitness Programs Officer

Temporary Parental Leave Cover - Part Time Position (flexible) – 2 days per week (Mondays & Wednesdays)

Monday 3rd March 2025 to Wednesday 26th November 2025

Band 5 - $78,448.84 - $90,891.22 (pro- rata) + super

Yarra Leisure seeks a passionate Health & Fitness Programs Officer to join our team on a temporary part-time basis (2 days per week). In this role, you'll support the development of inclusive fitness initiatives, promote active lifestyles, and enhance community wellbeing. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality fitness programs, managing facility hire, and supporting health campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in promoting healthier active lifestyles for Yarra Leisure members and the wider Yarra community.
  • To reviews, design and implement high-quality fitness programs/projects in response to community and business needs in consultation with Health and Fitness Team Leaders including but not limited to:
    • Facility Hire
    • Community and Outreach Programs
    • Group Fitness, Small Group and Personal Training Programs (in conjunction
      with Gym Team Leader).
    • Group Fitness contractor, Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor training
    • Health and Fitness Campaigns
  • Liaise with Health & Fitness Team Leaders on suggested program improvements
  • Ensure facility hire contracts are in place and required qualified contractors/staff are engaged.
