Maternal and Child Health Nurse – Casual Position

Nurse Year 2 Plus 25% - $77.94/hour + Super + Applicable Allowances

As a Maternal & Child Health Nurse, you will be part of our casual pool and play a key role in delivering high-quality, family-focused health care to families with children aged 0-6 years across the municipality.

We are seeking qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses who possess excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of families, colleagues, allied professionals, and the local community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a passionate, supportive, and innovative team that collaborates closely with Integrated Family Services, Immunisation, Family Programs, and Inclusion Teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide child-centered, family-focused care in a community setting with enthusiasm and commitment
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring needs are understood and met
  • Contribute effectively to team efforts, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment
  • Take responsibility for achieving results, measuring, monitoring, and evaluating outcomes
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, seeking clarification as needed
  • Set high standards, address issues proactively, and go above and beyond to meet business objectives
  • Hold a current driver’s license

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with Child First/Orange Door and Child Protection
