An exciting opportunity exists to join the City of Yarra Statutory Planning Unit, as a Senior Statutory Planner.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated senior planning professional seeking an opportunity to progress their career in a collaborative and customer focused team environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark in one of Melbourne’s dynamic inner urban municipalities. Our enthusiastic planners have a strong team culture and as part of this role you will have the opportunity to work on interesting and stimulating planning proposals.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing professional and technical advice in the assessment of complex planning applications. You will also be able to provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members, explain Council policies, planning schemes and applications to the public and applicants. Additionally you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, manage your time to achieve critical deadlines, and have specific knowledge of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
