As part of the City Works and Assets division, the Recreation and Leisure Branch has a commitment to improving both the physical and mental wellbeing of the community. Our aquatic programs operate from three facilities; the Collingwood Leisure Centre, Fitzroy Swimming Pool and Richmond Recreation Centre.
As a Lifeguard you will perform a crucial role to ensure best practice public safety and a high level of aquatic supervision in our public aquatic and leisure facilities. Participate in industry leading In-Service and Emergency Management Training, to prepare you to become the first responder in critical incidents. Oversee the pool deck operations and facilitate a positive customer experience for all of our swimmers and aquatic programs participants. Lifeguards are required to maintain rescue skills, competencies and qualifications.
Applicants must have a current working with children check, First Aid, Pool Lifeguard and CPR qualifications. It is essential that you are available to work early morning and evening shifts, over the weekends and during the summer period.
